YANG DI-PERTUAN AGONG’S VISIT TO THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 March 2024 - His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim King of Malaysia graciously consented to undertake an official working visit to the Ministry of Defence.

Upon arrival at Wisma Pertahanan, His Majesty was warmly welcomed by Minister of Defence, YB Khaled Nordin, Deputy Minister of Defence, YB Adly Zahari, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Datuk Seri Isham bin Ishak, as well as the Chief of Defence Force and Service Chiefs.

Following his arrival, His Majesty signed the guest book and received a comprehensive briefing from the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence. The briefing covered various aspects, including the Ministry's Organizational Structure and Profile, the Defense White Paper (KPP), the MINDEF Strategic Plan (PSM) 2021-2025, the National Defence and Security Industry Policy (DIPKN), Strategic Asset Strength, Procurement of Key Assets, Disposal of Obsolete Assets, and Key Development Projects.

This official visit to the Ministry of Defence marks His Majesty's inaugural visit to the Ministries of Malaysia since ascending the throne as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

Both the Ministry of Defence and the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) express their gratitude for His Majesty's willingness, as the Supreme Commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces, to undertake an official working visit to the Ministry of Defence.
