RECOGNITION OF PRIOR EXPERIENTAL LEARNING (RPEL) AND PERHEBAT CERTIFICATION PRESENTATION CEREMONY

SELANGOR, 28 May 2024 – Minister of Defence, YB Khaled Nordin officiated the Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) and Ex-Servicemen Affairs Corporation (PERHEBAT) Certification Ceremony at Kompleks Perhebat, Sungai Buloh.

During the ceremony, the Minister of Defence presented RPEL certificates to 209 personnel and Transition Training Certificates to 338 future MAF retirees.

Additionally, the Minister of Defence witnessed the exchange of eight Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) between PERHEBAT and Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, GIATMARA, GGS Global Sdn. Bhd., and Bravo Energy Sdn. Bhd. These MoUs aim to facilitate training programmes and work placements.

Another set of MoUs with Affin Islamik Bank Bhd., Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd., and Bank Simpanan Nasional will provide training and business incentives to MAF veterans.

Through the Defence White Paper (DWP), the Ministry of Defence places the utmost priority and commitment to the development of human capital and the socio-economic well-being of future retirees and Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) veterans.
