KUALA LUMPUR, 19 March 2024 - The Service Corps Group was honoured as the recipient of the Ministry of Defence's prestigious 2023 Best Overall PTJ Award during the Guard Officer Mandate Ceremony, AIMS Award Presentation, and Best PTJ Award, officiated by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, YBhg Datuk Seri Isham bin Ishak, at the Wisma Pertahanan Auditorium.
This ceremony was convened to express appreciation to the Responsibility Centre (PTJ) that demonstrated outstanding performance in the Accountability Index Monitoring System (AIMS) for 2023, across various programs and activities. Furthermore, it aimed to commend PTJs for their exceptional achievements in financial and procurement management throughout 2023, culminating in the presentation of the Best PTJ Award.
Eight PTJs, achieving a perfect score of 100% in the AIMS assessment for 2023, received Certificates of Appreciation. Additionally, 15 PTJs under the Management Programme, Joint Assistance Activities, Land Defence, Maritime Defence, and Air Defence were acknowledged with Certificates of Appreciation.
For the Best PTJ Award 2023, 11 out of 112 PTJs within the Ministry of Defence were honoured with Certificates and Cups, based on the number of bill categories.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief of Defence Forces, General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohammad bin Ab Rahman, Service Chiefs, as well as senior civil and military officers of the Ministry of Defence.
