MAF RECEIVES HARI RAYA PROCEEDS WORTH RM2,524,902.79

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 March 2024 – A total of 93 companies, corporate bodies, and individuals have generously contributed Hari Raya Aidilfitri Donations to the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) this year, totaling RM 2,524,902.79 in cash, essential goods, and Hari Raya meals.

The annual ceremony, presided over by Minister of Defence, YB Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, aims to express gratitude to the contributors who consistently support the efforts and services of MAF personnel to the nation.

Through these donations, MAF has managed to assemble 15,000 bags, which will be distributed to all national officers and soldiers responsible for maintaining border security and national well-being during the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1445H across the nation. This initiative extends to personnel serving abroad (UN), encompassing all three branches of the Malaysian Army (MA), Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), and Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).

The donated goods were meticulously repackaged by members of BAKAT and MAF, who have continuously collaborated to support the success of MAF's family activities over the years.

To acknowledge the significant contributions, the Minister of Defence presented special mementos to the contributors and completed the symbolic handover of donated goods to the Chief of Defence Forces, General Tan Sri Dato' Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan, Chief of Navy, Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman bin Ayob, and Chief of Air Force, General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Mohd Asghar Khan bin Goriman Khan RMAF.

The ceremony was also attended by Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Datuk Seri Isham bin Ishak, MAF Headquarters Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Datuk Arman Rumaizi bin Ahmad, Assistant Chief of Staff Personnel Services, Major General Datuk Mohd Nizam bin Hj Jaffar, Chairman of Jemaah Tertinggi Badan Kebajikan Keluarga Angkatan Tentera (BAKAT), Puan Sri Datin Seri Ramlah binti Dawi, the upper management of BAKAT, as well as senior officers of the MAF.
