KUALA LUMPUR, March 14, 2022 – The strategic capacities of the Malaysian Army (TDM) continue to be strengthened through the operation of the Malaysian Army Intelligence Fusion Centre (IFC) at Wisma Pertahanan.

The opening ceremony of this event was inaugurated by the Malaysian Army Chief (PTD), General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Zamrose bin Mohd Zain, who was warmly welcomed by the Assistant Chief of Intelligence Staff, Major General Datuk Hamzah bin Ali.

The IFC TD is developed based on the development of TD Army 4NextG strategic capacities (2021–2050), and is one of the five TD capability goals, namely detection.

Thus, the Malaysian Army will be equipped with its capabilities in Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance and Targeting (ISRT) as well as Information Operation (IO).
The present capabilities enable the early detection of all types of enemy threats, and the dissemination of actual information in real time can be implemented more efficiently. Undeniably, this will assist the Malaysian Army in making the right judgments at the right time.

By having the capacity to continuously track and disseminate real time information, the team will have an advantage in Information Dominance, Battlespace Awareness, Decision Advantage, and Decision Superiority.

At the same time, improvements will be continuously made in response to current technological advancements and environmental threats.

This development is aligned with the First Pillar of the 28th Chief of Army Superior Order, namely "Mission Continuity and Readiness," by focusing on boosting the level of alertness, competencies and assets of TDM.
