KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22, 2020 – Chief of Armed Forces, Gen Tan Sri Dato' Sri Hj Affendi bin Buang RMAF has completed the 87th Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Day Parade at the Kem Perdana Sungai Besi today.

The theme of this year’s 87th MAF Day is “Kedaulatan Negara Tanggungjawab Bersama” (Country’s Sovereignty Our Responsibility)”. The parade event was held in accordance with the new norms and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) set by the government as the country still implements the Movement Control Order faces the COVID-19 pandemic.

The parade this time carries the concept of a static combat parade involving the three MAF services which is Malaysian Army, the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). At the same time, also exhibiting Malaysian Army Combat assets including PENDEKAR, LIPAN BARA, ADNAN, GEMPITA, 155mm G5 Cannon, Rapid Ranger and X-Band COTP.

The parade was led by Lt. Col. Fuad Md Ghazali of the First Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment and was accompanied by a MAF marching band led by Major Muhamad Nor Azizan Yahya.

Also present were the Chief of Army, Gen Tan Sri Datuk Zamrose bin Mohd Zain, Deputy Chiefs of Services, Senior Officers and members of the ATM.
