Subang 21 Jan 2010 – Chief of Defence Forces, General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Azizan bin Ariffin RMAF officiated the sending off ceremony of the MALCON East 5 Advanced Party which is part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) at Subang Air Base.

This batch of the MALCON East 5 is led by commander Lieutenant Colonel Subari bin Tomo comprising 24 officers and 76 other ranks which also includes six women left for Lebanon to take up peacekeeping duty.

Also present were Chief of Navy, Chief of Air Force and Ministry of Defence senior military officers.
